A new deal has been struck at the UN climate summit in Dubai, after days of painstaking negotiations.For the first time since countries began meeting three decades ago, the deal calls on all countries to "transition away from fossil fuels"

But, it falls short of the pledge to "phase out" those same energy sources heating the planet many countries and scientists wanted.
