The latest episode of The Sun Devil Source Report Podcast continues an offseason series that is a little different from our normal podcasts. We are providing our audience with a bit of a treat in the form interviews that Sun Devil Source publisher Chris Karpman conducted with Arizona State assistant coaches. The third episode of this series is from Karpman's recent conversation with ASU third-year offensive line coach Dave Christensen. As you'll hear, the two discuss ASU's offensive line since Christensen has led the group, with the Sun Devil coach giving his thoughts on where the position group is now compared to when he was first hired. Christensen, who has over 35 years of college coaching experience, also analyzes why he thinks it was so important for the Sun Devils to land two graduate transfers, former Texas A&M tackle Kellen Diesch and former Stanford guard Henry Hattis. Each has one season of immediate eligibility. ASU started two then-true freshmen on the offensive line last year (Dohnovan West and LaDarius Henderson). How well did they play given their circumstances and why should they have never been put in that situation? Christensen had a lot of thoughts on that as well.
