I've known Edd ever since high school. Along with Architect Barbara G. Laurie, they played a critical part in my professional development. In this episode, we reflect on Barbara's legacy, HBCUs, and professional ethics.  Edward D. Dunson, Jr. AIA is Associate Professor of Architecture in the Department of Architecture, College of Engineering and Architecture, Howard University, Washington, DC. Professor Dunson is a licensed architect and design consultant with over 30 years of leadership experience in the profession of architecture and in architecture education. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Howard University and his Masters degree in Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University. Professor Dunson served as Chair of the Department of Architecture from 2007 to 2016, and in that capacity worked toward expanding the departmental programs to be more reflective of the evolving building industry while increasing its influence in communities served by its graduates, locally, nationally and globally. His teaching responsibilities are in the area of architecture design, preservation, the practice of architecture and the cultural and ethical responsibility of architecture in the built environment.
