What's going on everyone, Welcome to another edition of Confessions of a Native Son, I'm your host Mike Steadman. I'm a Marine Corps Veteran, Entrepreneur, and Aspiring author, who enjoys thought-provoking and engaging dialogue about race, culture, and business.
In this episode, I challenge the myth of higher education and its role in educating young men & women of color. I discuss the limits of our current educational system, the ROI on a college degree in today's economy, and where I see the future of educated headed. This episode was recorded prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, whose aftermath will raise more questions on the legitimacy of our current educational system. With the economy in shambles, unemployment rising, and schools turning to online education, I doubt our understanding of traditional education will ever be the same. As always, thanks again for sharing your time with me and I hope you enjoy the show.
