In a recent podcast with David Redding (cofounder of F3 Fitness) we talked about an acronym that David came up with, CSAUP. These are workouts that are Completely Stupid And Utterly Pointless and is something that they put into the F3 workout routine. The definition of a workout that is CSAUP is when you tell someone what you are doing and they say, “I don’t get it…” Despite the name, I do think that there is a purpose for doing workouts like this (like a Tough Mudder) and I think they create a lot of value. While they might be completely stupid, they aren’t utterly pointless. The reason that I choose to put events like this on my schedule is because it stretches you. I believe that you thrive on the edge of your comfort zone. Growth happens when you get to the edge of your comfort zone and keep pushing through. That is why I have events that might seem completely stupid as a normal part of my physical activities. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
