It’s 'The Big Dark' and that’s hard for many of us. Some people get creative with how they cope with these long months with less light, and today we are looking at comedy as a coping mechanism.

Seattle comedian Chris Mejia talks a lot about his mental health in his work.

He talks about how it helps him heal and UW's Tabitha Kirkland explains why laughter, even fake laughter can help.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis or considering self-harm, call or text 988 for help. You can also contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
