The Cincinnati Reds won the first game of the series with the Tampa Bay Rays in dominating fashion, and then proceeded to score no runs in either of the two remaining games in the series. The Reds bats that had been so competitive were completely silenced and Reds pitchers like Nick Lodolo and Levi Stoudt (making his debut) were hit hard by the Rays dangerous lineup. Drew Rasmussen proved to be a formidable pitcher and has solidified the trade the Rays made with the Milwaukee Brewers as a good one for Tampa. Moving forward, the Rays need to get a few pitchers healthy to make a run at the AL East division crown and possibly a World Series. The Reds need to continue to find out who the core of their team is and build around those players, like they have begun to with Hunter Greene.
