The Los Angeles Chargers found a way to get under the NFL salary cap while finding a way to keep their stars like Keenan Allen and Joey Bosa. GM Tom Telesco is throwing caution to the wind heading into free agency with risky decisions in an attempt to keep the nucleus of the team together in 2023. This extra space allows the Chargers a chance to keep important internal free agents like Drue Tranquill and Trey Pipkins. The early wave of free agency moves have made Tranquill less likely, but the guys hope Los Angeles can sign Pipkins before the market takes off. Morgan Fox remains one of the Chargers most underrated free agents while also being one of the hardest players to replace. Fox could be expensive, but there are several possible way the Chargers could open up some more cap space if they need to.
