Greetings Dead Freaks! For episode 73, I am joined by Justin Bruce, music fan and weatherman for Las Vegas' KTNV. Justin recently decided to explore the Brent Mydland years of Grateful Dead so I asked him to come on and help me celebrate the late keyboardist as we approach the 30th anniversary of his final shows and passing. We discuss Brent's tenure, his songwriting, and musical contributions. Afterwards, I have assembled a hefty mix that incorporates his songs and some excellent jamming. I hope you dig it.You can find Justin's musical musing on Twitter @just1n_music. The man did more homework for this episode than almost anyone (so far) so please show him some appreciation. I am tempted to apologize for the length of the mix in this episode but, honestly, it could and possibly should have been longer. It may take you a couple of sessions to get through it but I think it pays off.
