The news that isn't really news became official on Wednesday morning as Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich officially named Bryce Young the team's starting quarterback. The elevation of Young to QB1 happened during OTAs as Young hit the benchmarks to then take the first-team snaps fully once mandatory minicamp started a week later. Julian Council reacts to the significance of the Panthers long-awaited announcement.

Despite having not signed a long-term deal this offseason, Brian Burns arrived at training camp on Tuesday. Burns detailed after Day 1 of practice why he showed up along with his goals heading into the season.

The Panthers cut prospective punt returner Marquez Stevenson after only one day of camp. Could this spell a signing of a veteran to a position of need?
