Capone is much better than we thought. HOWEVER, we are much less mature than we hoped. So in one of our goofier recording sessions, we break down Tom Hardy’s unmissable performance in this bizarro gangster thriller in both non-spoiler & spoiler filled segments. Alternate CAPONE Movie Titles - 1:36 CAPONE REVIEW: NONSPOILER SECTION: Production Profile - 4:06 Plot Premise/Expectations - 10:10 (And What Does This Movie THINK It Is?) So beware. But as two Oscars movie critics in their off-season and as two men children with quarantine cabin fever, of course, we begin the episode with fart noises and dirty jokes. But as the episode moves along, we do build up a profound respect for the ambitions of Josh Trank’s Capone, and it’s many successes. What’s the final product? Well, you will be the judge, but we hope it’s one of our more entertaining episodes. Per usual, we do follow our normal movie review format. The first half of the show is spoiler-free, with one obvious exception, that to be honest, every other film critic in America has also spoiled. You get a production profile to introduce the film, reviews of the polarizing production values, and a big debate on that Tom Hardy performance. Then in the second half, we recap the plot of the film and break down all our best & worst scenes in one of our wackier, livelier conversations to date. As we pitched in the last MMOW, we are planning to read and react to some of your movie & television reviews. So don’t forget to send those to us via email or social media, and as always, here’s another friendly reminder that if you haven’t yet, we could really use your help on Apple Podcasts. Do please take a few seconds and leave us a 5 star rating, and if you have a bit more time, then we’d really appreciate a positive written review. Thank you so much! Finally, let us know your thoughts on Capone & Tom Hardy’s unforgettable performance. We’re at MMandOscar on Twitter, and we are on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Gmail. You can subscribe / rate / review / like / share / & listen to us on Apple Podcasts, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Google Play, Tune In, Spotify, and just about wherever you might listen. We’re Mike, Mike, & Oscar, and we’re making awards season year round, without the stuffiness. Thanks for listening.
