With the Monty Williams hiring in Detroit, there is increased speculation that the Pistons could make a run at Cameron Johnson as a restricted free agent this off season. If that’s the case, then Sean Marks and the Brooklyn Nets could find themselves in a somewhat tricky situation around what to do with the small forward. 

If Detroit got into the mix, would Johnson be incentivized to go and play with his ex-Suns coach? Monty Williams has been very complimentary of him in the past. Could the Nets explore a sign and trade here? Or would the Cameron Johnson market be proof that Brooklyn should pay top dollar to retain his services? There’s a lot to consider with this situation.
