A South Auckland councillor is calling for the government to reinstate funding for youth workers to help combat the area's growing violence. There have been four fatal shootings in South Auckland since March, and over the weekend there was a fatal assault in Ōtāhuhu and a man was left in hospital after being shot at a bar in Manukau. Alf Filipaina is a Manukau ward councillor and former police officer. He spoke to Corin Dann.
