The Browns had trouble containing the Chargers’ ground game during Sunday’s 30-28 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. On 19 snaps, defensive end Isaac Rochell led the unit in overall defensive grading with an overall 85.4 rating, according to Pro Football Focus. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney led the unit with 78.3 rush-defense grading on 52 snaps, while linebacker Jacob Phillips led the way with a 83.0 tackle-rating. Here’s how the rest of the defense graded:

A late pick by Jacoby Brissett and 2 Cade York missed field goals result in Browns’ 30-28 to Chargers as they fall to 2-3. Cade York wasn’t able to come through with the miracle, game-saving field goal this time like he did in Carolina. York pushed a 54-yard field goal wide right with 11 seconds left to seal the Chargers’ 30-28 victory over the Browns on Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium. Earlier, York pushed a 45-yarder wide right, also at the closed end of the stadium. He made a 58-yarder in Carolina to win the opener. Fans booed as the Browns left the field. It dropped the Browns to 2-3 and marked their second straight loss. The Chargers are 3-2.
