Submit ReviewWelcome to Bronzeville a corner of Chicago ran by African Americans for the betterment of the African Americans back in the 1940’s.
Bronzeville was a place where African Americans could prosper. They had this thing called “Running The Numbers” which in today’s world we’d call the Lottery. This is a HIGHLY scripted and theatrical show which reminds me of the radio drama’s my grandparents loved. Bronzeville is the story of Jimmy Tillman which is on the run and ends up in Bronzeville. Taking a place as a foot Soldier for the Copelands.
