Episode 84 Brittany PhillipsEighteen year old Brittany Phillips was a bubbly and bright college student with a bright future, but in late September, 2004, her life came to a violent and tragic end when she was raped and murdered in her Tulsa apartment. The news was devastating for Brittany's family, and it would be years of ups and downs in the case before it looked like the case might be close to being solved. Police had DNA to work with, and it eventually led to a suspect. Unfortunately, things were not as cut and dry as they appeared, and that suspect had an acceptable alibi according to police. The news was a letdown for Brittany's mom Dr. Maggie Zingman, but that has not stopped her from being a champion and advocate for her only daughter. In this episode, she discusses the long, winding path she has been on following Brittany's murder. She also talks about her advocacy for other people going thru similar situations.
