From a 6-1 lead entering the eighth inning, to a 10-7 defeat in ten innings ... the Brewers dug the hole they are in a little bit deeper on their chase for a wild card berth. Ryan McMahon hit the game-tying and game-winning homers in the eighth and tenth innings to shock the Brew Crew and level the series at a game apiece. All of this occurring as soon as Brandon Woodruff was lifted from the game after seven dominant innings over the Rockies.
There was a lot to say about the decision by manager Craig Counsell on pulling Woodruff after he was through seven innings on 91 pitches, but Dom (@Dom_Cotroneo) lets you know why the move actually made sense. We also hear straight from Brandon Woodruff for his thoughts on the matter.
There were multiple failures along the way, but the Brewers have been here before. They didn't get any help on the out-of-town-scoreboard ... so they need to take matters into their own hands.
