To say the Brewers "needed" the sweep over the Giants in the fashion they did it would be an understatement. Corbin Burnes quite literally put the Brewers on his back in game one with 14 strikeouts on 100 pitches exactly. The start was his most dominant of the season and it could not have come at a more perfect time for the Brew Crew, given what transpired in the second game.
Freddy Peralta's start was cut short due to right shoulder fatigue. His last four fastballs did not cross 88 MPH and Craig Counsell decided to lift Peralta in the third inning. The Brewers' bullpen rose to the occasion with six strong frames of relief to keep the Brewers in the lead for the entire contest.
Dom (@Dom_Cotroneo) takes you through the impressive stats from Burnes' performance, the implications of Freddy's injury, and what the Brewers have waiting in the Reds this weekend.
