Hey. you can't win'em all right? The Milwaukee Brewers dropped the first game of the season 5-4 to the Chicago Cubs in Thursday's Opening Day tilt. Corbin Burnes went five innings and allowed three runs and did not factor in the decision. There was a key pitch "off" start for the reigning Cy Young winner, so we break things down on Burnes's usage for the day.
It's just one game, but we learned a lot about the offense in this one - especially from the newcomers. But sometimes you have to tip your cap to a pitcher who was "on" for the day on the other side with Kyle Hendricks racking up seven strikeouts.
Finally we preview today's tilt (if it happens with rain/snow mix in the forecast) for game two of the young season.
