As a flight surgeon, Dr. Lee worked with one of the most elite squadrons in the USAF 99RS specializing in aeronautical medicine. He has over 100 flying hours (10 in combat) in several airframes including the legendary U-2 and T-38 (
http://1.usa.gov/292FxDF). Lee was responsible for taking care of pilots who fly into the outer limits of the atmosphere, reaching heights of more than 70,000 feet in the famous U-2 aircraft. These pilots often run the risk of decompression sickness from the altitude, also referred to as DCS.
Currently, he works as a medical director (with an MBA) in Sacramento and author providing "persistence coaching" to his patients and first generation college students at Sacramento State University.
