On the afternoon of September 12, 2019, 33-year-old Brandon Embry was discovered naked and unresponsive in a pool of his own blood and water on the bedroom floor of his apartment in Asheboro, North Carolina. He died from his injuries less than 24 hours later. Although his entire apartment was smashed up and turned upside down, and despite multiple blunt and sharp force injuries and bruising to his body, his cause of death is listed as pneumonia.
