As the country sizzled on one of the hottest days of the year – the heat was turned up on Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt. The pair had been battling it out to win the Conservative leadership contest, and ultimately, become the UK’s next prime minister. Mr Johnson beat Jeremy Hunt comfortably, winning 92,153 votes to his rival's 46,656. On College Green outside the Houses of Parliament, 5 Live’s Emma Barnett spoke to Conservative MPs, supporters and callers from around the UK, to get their reaction.
