Hour 1

The Yankees completed their sweep of the Twins, but Juan Soto did not return after the rain delay because of forearm soreness. They have a huge series against the Dodgers starting tonight, so we will see if he is in the lineup. He probably won’t be in the field, but we expect him to DH. He might need Tommy John surgery in the offseason. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with all the sounds of the Yankees beating the Twins. The Celtics dominated the Mavericks in game 1 and Porzingis had a great game. Dan Hurley will meet with the Lakers today. A young reporter on the golf channel thought she was talking to Vince Young, but she was not. In the final segment of the hour, Keith McPherson quote tweeted a Jimmy Traina tweet about Rickie Ricardo and Gio wonders if he’s taking a shot at Traina. Boomer thinks Suzyn Waldman is feeling unsettled wondering who is going to permanently replace John Sterling. 

Hour 2

Boomer ran into a guy he sees from paving commercials. We also talked about Juan Soto’s forearm injury and how players in New York always get hurt. We took some calls from concerned Yankees fans. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees win over the Twins to complete the sweep. Juan Soto did not return after the rain delay and will get imaging. Porzingis had a big game as the Celtics dominated the Mavs to take game 1. Jerry has a clip of Donald Trump calling Adam Schiff a ‘watermelon head’. In the final segment of the hour, the U.S. beat Pakistan in cricket and it was a huge upset. 

Hour 3

Juan Soto did not return to last night’s game after the rain delay because of forearm soreness. We expect him to play this weekend against the Dodgers, but we don’t expect to see him playing the field. Giants WR Jalin Hyatt said ‘we have a playoff team here’. Gio said he shouldn’t have said that. A caller wants John Sterling back for this ‘special season’. We talked about bringing Sterling back for the playoffs. Boomer said Sterling is done and would not want to come back to do the playoffs. A caller wonders why Gio doesn’t do an impression of Sal Licata. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about Rickie Ricardo being Rick James’ former hype-man back in the day. The Celtics had no problem with the Mavericks in game 1 of the NBA Finals. Kyrie Irving talked about the atmosphere and he expected it to be louder. Adam Silver commented on Caitlin Clark and called it a welcome to the WNBA moment but wants her treated fairly. Chris Russo had a hard time pronouncing ‘pandemic’. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about Spirit Airlines. In the final segment of the hour, Gio got a message from his wife that the freezer is broken and everything is thawing out. A doctor called in who said he is very close to John and Suzyn and said Dave Sims is getting the job. 

Hour 4

Dan in Carteret calls in. He hasn’t called us in about a year. He wants Suzyn to retire from the Yankees booth. He also wants Boomer to retire as he’s ‘won at life’. Jerry returns for an update but first Keith McPherson joins us to talk about his tweet at Jimmy Traina for his ‘memo to WFAN’. Jerry starts with Juan Soto talking about his forearm and how he’s getting imaging to see what’s wrong. The Mets met the media in London as they play the Phillies tomorrow. A caller tells a story about seeing Boomer in a restaurant and Boomer’s chair broke. Christian Hackenberg was on the Ross Tucker podcast and talked about his brief time with the Jets. The Moment of The Day involves Donald Trump calling a politician a ‘watermelon head’. In the final segment of the week, a caller is looking for a pick for the Belmont.
