The Golden Globes have a new / old host, the Critics Choice Documentary Awards announced their winners, the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild as well as the European Film Awards announced their winners, and we hit on the big stories from the People’s Choice Awards. We discuss the strange journey of CATS from a prestigious & legendary Broadway adaptation to the trailer that became a national joke. Then there’s another Best International Film disqualification to debate. Disney also released their plans for Oscar campaigns, and guess who?!, Robert Downey Jr. will be pushed in supporting after all. We also propose how we might actually NEED an annual Mr. Rogers movie to help mend our society, and we feel guilty about our first impressions of Kristen Stewart’s early career as we breakdown the trailers for A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood and Seberg. Then in a Make The Case segment, Mike 1 presses Also Mike for his reviews of potential Oscar feature contenders like One Child Nation & Burning Cane, as well as some now streaming shorts like Fire In Paradise, Little Miss Sumo, and Pixar’s Float.
