Back from the outer edges of Nova Scotia, Ryan Andrews is back with a feel-good Monday edition of the podcast! Andrews discusses the Blue Jays and their fruitful series against the Mariners, where Toronto ended up taking 3-of-4 games. The host opens with the playoff atmosphere that Western Canadian fans were able to create and how it spurred the players on. Attention then turns to the stellar offensive performances that the Blue Jays received, from contributors like Randal Grichuk, Devon Travis, Aledmys Diaz, Russell Martin and Teoscar Hernandez. Andrews highlights how vital it is for players like Grichuk, Hernandez and Travis to use the rest of the season to find approaches that will give them success in the future. In the second half, Andrews discusses the pitching performances, from Ryan Borucki's stellar start, to Marco Estrada's return to form, to Sam Gaviglio's average outing. Andrews pinpoints Borucki as a future Blue Jays stalwart and declares Ken Giles has the same potential to lock up the closer role, and that both men can be part of a future contender in Toronto. Andrews closes with a discussion of Joe Biagini and his problems with the long ball, and why sending him to Buffalo is not the solution.
