After a couple of weeks off, we're back with a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to try and make sense of what the hell is going on with our beloved Edmonton Oilers.   To start off this week's episode, we got things started by welcoming Zach Laing to the Nation Network as the company's new News Director, meaning he'll be in charge of making sure all of our sites are up to date with the latest happenings. Moving to Edmonton from Calgary was obviously a big play for Zach and we wanted to spend a few minutes welcoming him to the team. From there, we jumped in with a look at the upcoming year and what New Year's Resolutions would fit for the club moving forward. Maybe the ability to play for a full 60 minutes would be nice? Needless to say, we had a bunch of ideas. Next up, we got to some bad news as we looked back at the past three games for the Oilers and tried to break down what the hell went wrong in each of contest. Whether it was the disaster against Calgary, the near-collapse against the Rangers, or the blown lead against Buffalo, the boys desperately need to figure out how to be consistent and we offered up some areas of improvement that, if dealt with, could improve things for the better. Looking at the roster, we wondered if now is the time to try and make a move and improve the overall team depth as a means of easing the burden for the top players. We also looked at the upcoming matinee against the Bruins and what it will take to get the train back on track. As always, it was a jam-packed podcast and a perfect way to get you set for the weekend — download and subscribe anywhere you get podcasts from.
