In our second episode of Black History Month, Imara talks with two podcasters and advocates about the power of Black trans voices. First, she’s joined by Diamond Stylz, host of Marsha’s Plate and founder of Black Transwomen Inc. Diamond shares the story of her fight for freedom of expression at high school prom and in college, and what it took to reclaim her voice with and without support from her family and peers. Next, Imara talks with host of FANTI and What A Day, Tre’vell Anderson about finding their genderqueer identity at an all-male HBCU, diversity in journalism, and trans representation on screen.
