Bill Riley was born in 1950 in Amherst, Nova Scotia He played for the Washington Capitals and Winnipeg Jets between 1974 and 1980. He went on to a successful coaching career in Moncton and was inducted into the Nova Scotia sport hall of fame in 1998.
