Cincinnati Bengals senior defensive assistant coach Mark Duffner has almost seen it all when it comes to football. Having been a longtime college head coach and assistant coach in the NFL since 1987, Duffner is known for his energetic outlook on life on and off the field.

The past few seasons Duffner, who is in his second stint with the Bengals, has watched as young players like Joe Burrow, Logan Wilson, Sam Hubbard, and others have stepped forward to make the Bengals into a franchise that expects to win at the highest level.

Despite the outcome of Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Duffner knows the Bengals have a good taste with their success of the past two seasons,  but also wants more in an ending raising the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Duffner talks about the makeup of the Bengals team, why there is renewed excitement in the air of Cincinnati about the Bengals, and getting ready to attack the NFL Draft and free agency to build the team fans hope can win it all next season.

We welcome Coach Duffner back to In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics.
