Don’t let the size of this community fool you., we have never encountered a more inclusive entrepreneurial spirit. The wonderful people of this town really rolled out the hospitality bandwagon for CCCRS. When you stop in to the Great American SmokeHouse, and either of the two Bell & Whistle Coffee Shops, tell them the Cross Country Coffee Roadshow sent you! Crissy Cooper went from community theater in second grade to New York  and Broadway. No time for mundane activities when you have things you want to accomplish in this life! This independent contractor is a tour de force. Her sights are always set on her next goal...lights.camera action. Brookings Oregon could not have a more entertaining, or effective cheerleader!. After traveling the world, Australia, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, as an entertainer she came back to the "best place in the world" Brookings...yes we heard it more than once.  How and why do you go from management training program, to become a Hooters girl? How did that work out?  Her tried and true advice for becoming successful is something we all have inside us, but how do we make it happen? Adventure; does it always mean thrill seeking?  Well this dynamo’s theory makes perfect sense. How do you handle a bad review? Crissy’s idea makes perfect sense. Gut reactions not usually the best choice. You may not agree with her alternative but her logic makes perfect sense. The Beatles told us how to do it years ago "all we need is__" . The hazards of moving from the desert back to Oregon with your mom, dog, and cat in tow. What could possibly go wrong? Does turning up the radio eliminate foul odors? And how do you untangle your mom from barbed wire fence while she is wrangling your cat? Just how, and why did Corrie Taylor go 22 years as a barista and not drink coffee until just a short time ago? Her answer, kind of makes sense. A question to ponder as you prepare to go out and get your next cup of coffee. Are drive through customers more pleasant than those who exit their vehicles to purchase their morning elixir? For either of these types, Corrie has the answer. Does it make a difference it the barista is serving you through a sliding window or if are still in your pajamas?  With an online start up and seven hours between them this long distance relationship withstood more than a few obstacles. How did her new boyfriend react one night when she followed the wrong man home? And what role did his mother play in this relationship? Opening another Bell & Whistle Coffee House inside the Great American Smokehouse? What kind of an idea is that? Misty Crawford, owner, explained in painful detail why she chose to move to Brookings, and how her two Bell and Whistle Coffee stores came to be. There is help for people with PTSD.
