The Heat hit seven three pointers in the fourth quarter to cut what was a 34 point deficit to 13, but it was way too little, way too late against the Boston Celtics, the East's #1 seed and the +125 odds on favorite to win the NBA Championship.

The C's raced out to a 14-0 lead and never looked back, with reserve guard Sam Hauser hitting 4 three pointers- including 3 in a row- in the first quarter.

Jayson Tatum had 23 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds to lead six players in double-figures for the Celtics. Kristaps Porzingis added 18 on 50% shooting, including four of the Celts' season-high 22 threes.

Bam Adebayo scored 24 points for Miami. Delon Wright added 17 on 5-5 shooting from downtown.

Tyler Herro, a huge key for Miami in this series, scored just 11 points on 4-12 shooting, 3-8 from beyond the arc.

The Celtics, facing the Heat for the 7th time in the playoffs since 2010, are the +120 favorite to win the NBA Title and hang banner number 18 in the rafters in a few weeks.

The Heat beat the Celtics last year in the Eastern Conference Finals, but that was with Jimmy Butler, and the Celtics didn't have Porzingis or Jrue Holiday.. Game two is Wednesday night in Boston.
