Frontier and Spirit to merge Frontier and Spirit Airlines will merge to create an über-Ultra-low-cost carrier. Airbus cancels another Qatar order Airbus also canceled Qatar Airways order for two A350-1000s in January. Mesa Airlines throws another investment at the wall Mesa Airlines has invested in electric air boat maker Regent. This continues Mesa’s forward looking—or foolhardy—investments and orders for electric aircraft due for delivery near the end of the decade. The FAA has proposed new guidelines for the employees of aircraft manufacturers charged with certifying aircraft. The FAA is hosting cellular network engineers on flights designed to determine the effects on aircraft in real world settings. And Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian wrote to the Attorney General this week requesting the creation of a national no fly list for unruly passengers.
