Modelling by the National Australian Apprenticeship Association has found a restricted economy could result in 100,000 fewer Australians in training by the end of the year. There has already been a drop of 40 per cent in apprenticeship and traineeship commencements. However the sector believes coronavirus pandemic measures have masked the true impact, which is likely to be revealed in September.
