This episode of ATP Extra is a red side of the park special and a bit of a break from the normal format of only one guest, as in this episode, we interview several guests that have appeared on Across the Park over the last couple of seasons, to get their immediate reactions to Liverpool recently winning number 19 and finally getting our hands on the Premier League title! The guests on this episode are: Former Liverpool players; Gary Gillespie, Jay Spearing and Tony Warner, Lead singer of the Farm and founder member of the Spirit of Shankly Peter Hooton, Former Cagewarriors MMA Lightweight World champion Paddy Pimblett, Former British and Commonwealth boxing champion Stephen Smith, Author and journalist for “This is Anfield” Jeff Goulding and Ex-Liverpool academy coach and now academy director for the Seattle Sounders in the MLS, Gary Lewis Whilst the format of the interviews is similar for each guest, each one has a different experience and perspective on what is a momentous occasion in this clubs history and, with their contrasting careers and backgrounds, all give us different insights into what the win means for them and the club, how the players will react and where they see the current standing and future potential of this Liverpool team! All interviews were conducted in the ten days following Liverpool being confirmed as champions, so some interviews may contain comments about upcoming games that have subsequently now taken place. However, we do try to limit editing of interviews, so that the listener gets the full picture and is as close to the live conversation as possible and we hope that this doesn’t detract from your enjoyment of the show!
