The quarterback situation for Arizona State Sun Devils football was thrown into flux following the conclusion of the 2021 season. All signs pointed to Jayden Daniels returning to the program for his senior season right up until he decided to transfer from the program and head to Baton Rouge, LA, and play for the LSU Tigers football program. The moment Daniels left, everything fell into madness. Suddenly, the incredibly unproven Trenton Bourguet and transfer from Alabama Paul Tyson were expected to be the guys and with the expectations that they could continue Arizona State Sun Devils football's winning ways. When that didn't appear to work, the team brought in former Florida Gators quarterback Emory Jones via the NCAA Transfer Portal and things felt a bit better. While Jones has been up and down in 2022, he's still provided the stability that we were nervous would not be present for the position in 2022. However, Jones went down with an injury in week six against the Washington Huskies football team, and the aforementioned Bourguet was thrust into the offense and expected to help win this game. Well, that is EXACTLY what happened following a terrific performance from Bourguet. Now on a bye week with time for Jones to get healthy again but also for Bourguet to continue getting first-team reps in while Jones is on the mend, what should Arizona State Sun Devils football do regarding their starting quarterback moving forward? Host Richie Bradshaw is here to discuss all of that and more on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.
