The expectations for Arizona State Sun Devils basketball are typically never that high, but we do prefer to be competitive and make it to the NCAA Tournament. Those expectations have eluded Bobby Hurley and the Sun Devils as of late the last few seasons, but the team is off to a hot start for 2022-2023 and it has us VERY excited. Now at 4-1 on the year, the Sun Devils are coming off a smoke show victory over the #20 Michigan Wolverines basketball program to the tune of 87-62. That 25-point win is the largest margin over a ranked opponent in the history of the Arizona State Sun Devils basketball program! Arizona State did it offensively, shooting over 60% from the field and over 50% from deep with show-stopping performances from guys like Desmond Cambridge, D.J. Horne, and Austin Nunez. The Sun Devils' defense was equally impressive to match, holding a high-scoring Wolverines' offense to under 20% shooting deep and just 33.9% from the field thanks to big defensive nights from guys like Warren Washington and Duke Brennan.
