I got into putting out live mixes as a 'separate the men from the boys' self promo tactic because anybody can make a good mix at home, using a computer, rehearsing, re-starting, editing until just right...but then what happens when they play live? Exposed.To be honest, I'd record primarily to play back while walking the streets of NYC or riding the subways and I'd listen for where I could improve.
