Since the early days of the iPhone, Apple has made most of them in one country: China. It has the skilled labor and a network of suppliers necessary for speedy production. But in the past few years, Apple’s heavy reliance on China has started to look more like a risk. Now the company and its suppliers are looking to India to produce a quarter of the world’s iPhones in the next few years.
