In this episode we learn the incredible story of Anne Wafula Strike. Anne grew up in Kenya where an undiagnosed case of polio left her with limited movement in her arms and legs. After moving to the United Kingdom to get married she was prescribed a wheelchair which changed her life forever. She became a competitive wheelchair racer and competed for both Kenya and England in Paralympic sports.
About the Narrator
Brenna Huckaby is a world champion snowboarder and mom to two Rebel Girls. She competed in the 2018 Paralympic Games in snowboarding where she took home gold medals in two events! Brenna started her sports career as a top gymnast but at age14 years she was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer and had to have her leg amputated above the knee. After recovering she discovered a passion for the snowboarding and the rest is history!
