Today on the program, we're talking about the challenges of animal rescue in this province. Volunteer groups across Newfoundland and Labrador have pounced on the problem over the years. We'll hear about their work to shelter stray and abandoned animals, get them spayed or neutered, and try to find furever homes. But first, The Nickel Independent Film Festival has launched a sci-fi film challenge. To find out all about it, we're joined by executive director Elling Lien.
