The Chicago White Sox (76-71) beat the Detroit Tigers on Sunday by a score of 11-5. Sox won the series and now have an off day on Monday. After having a power outage the first two games of the series, the White Sox exploded for 11 runs, 12 hits and 3 home runs in the finale. AJ Pollock, Eloy Jimenez and Andrew Vaughn all went deep for the Sox. As for Vaughn, it was his first career grand slam. The White Sox were hoping Johnny Cueto could start but he was bumped due to illness. Vince Velasquez ended up taking the hill. Sox used three additional bullpen arms to get through the game. The White Sox find themselves five games over .500 and 3.5 games back in the AL Central race. After Monday's off day, the Sox host the Cleveland Guardians for the biggest series of the year.
