Preseason watchlists for college football's most prestigious awards are beginning to be revealed and the Arizona State Sun Devils football roster has had its first player added to a watchlist. Incoming transfer running back Xazavian Valladay from the Wyoming Cowboys football program is officially having an eye kept on him for the Doak Walker award handed out to the nation's top running back. Valladay, a two-time 1,000-yard rusher for the Wyoming Cowboys football program, comes to an Arizona State Sun Devils football team facing a rebuild at the position. Gone are Rachaad White (NFL) and Chip Trayanum (transferred to Ohio State) and stepping up will be Valladay, Daniyel Ngata, Deonce Elliott, and freshman Tevin White. Valladay, who has by far the most proven track record amongst the group, will look to secure the top spot for the Sun Devils' backfield, but will this be enough to get him into the Doak Walker award conversation come the end of the season? Host Richie Bradshaw gives his thoughts on Valladay's inclusion on this watchlist and lays out what he needs to do to win the award on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.
