Submit ReviewThis episode features a first in the world of 10,000 Tacos — our very first guest! We welcome David, visiting from Melbourne, Australia. David grew up in Scotland, where Mexican restaurants are few and far between and where their “Taco Tuesday” consists of a hard-shelled boxed taco and salsa out of a jar. David is traveling through the Bay Area on vacation and Isidro scooped him up for the podcast to share a foreigner’s perspective on tacos. David describes tasting carne asada, the fresh tortilla, and the simple yet tasty garnishes and sauce. As long as he can get the ingredients back home he may convert everyone — his family and friends — to the world of taco loving and eating!
People’s opinions vary when it comes to tacos, and although it makes Isidro cringe when people get excited for a taco chain or fast food joint, a lot of times it is just because they haven’t had the chance to try family-made authentic Mexican food. Rather than being a “taco snob” Isidro aims to introduce people from all walks of life to just how amazing this food can be.
Taquote:
“Life is like a taco. The closer you come to making it from scratch, the more authentic it will be.”
