In this opportunity we had the pleasure to interview Australian-born writer, journalist, and film-maker, John Baxter.

During this interview we talked about the literary history of Paris, the old Shakespeare & Company, Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and the Beat generation in the city of light. However, our main topic was his book A Pound of Paper: Confessions of a Book Addict (2005).

A Pound of Paper is an addictive memoir about a book collector's obsession. As a book hunter, John Baxter has traveled all over the world, and because of this he met one of the legends of the book-selling world: Martin Stone. At various times a cokehead, an international fugitive from justice and professional rock musician, he would become John's mentor and friend.
