Alice Springs tourism operators are appealing to the Northern Territory and Federal Governments to make more commitments in the lead-up to the NT election on August 24 to try to fix the town's crime problems.

They are also asking for direct support from both governments to help them survive this period in which their business has dropped by 50%.
