"But the fight for our planet, physical and spiritual, a fight of cosmic proportions, is not a vague matter of the future; it has already started." Russian novelist Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn gave this commencement address at Harvard University on June 8, 1978. Almost line by line, Solzhenitsyn’s observations are prophetic. Especially in light of current events, Solzhenitsyn’s remarks are more clearly relevant than ever — perhaps even more so than at the time when they were first delivered. When men forget God, catastrophe for society is soon to follow.
