We're back this week with another great conversation as Billy Sheehan & Gregg Bissonette reflect on Eat 'Em & Smile. This legendary album by David Lee Roth was released July 7, 1986 and peaked at #4 on the US Billboard charts. More importantly, it was an absolute statement being put forth by the former Van Halen front man that he could still swing for the fences. With a powerful backing band including the rhythm section of Sheehan and Bissonette combined with the guitar acrobatics of Steve Vai, the Eat 'Em & Smile album is loaded with hooks, precision, and the patented tongue-in-cheek lyrics of Roth. It's a true example of rock's dominance in the 80's. This interview was recorded live on-stage at the ROCKNPOD Expo in Nashville, TN on Saturday August 7, 2021. In this discussion, Billy & Gregg give the full backstory of how they hooked up with David Lee Roth, the audition process, album recording and much more. Their stories are incredibly entertaining and we think you'll get a kick out of these two legends reconnecting with each other.
