AI algorithms can improve accuracy and speed up scan reviews, but doctors are hesitant to trust them with patient health due to limited testing and transparency concerns. Despite FDA approval of over 700 AI algorithms, only 2% of radiology practices use them, and liability issues remain unresolved.
