Director, writer, editor, animator Adam Sacks (UCB Comedy, IFC, Nerdist) joins Nate Russell, Creative Director of UCB Comedy, to discuss his varied experiences working in filmmaking and comedy production. From starting out in children’s television, learning to shoot live action while working on the first BETA teams: The Brig and The Punch, to eventually finding himself being drawn more towards directing rather than writing, together they examine Adam’s career path and approach to making videos. Also, how to plan scenes when you first get a script, influences from art school as a illustrator and comic books, and why its so important to keep post-production in mind. Recorded at UCB Comedy Studios East in New York City.
