Submit ReviewThank you for listening to the following films podcast. Today I’m joined by Abel Ferrara to discuss his film PADRE PIO
Set in a politically tumultuous post-WWI Italy, PADRE PIO follows the titular young priest as he begins his ministry at a remote Italian monastery. Concurrently, the town welcomes home the broken but victorious soldiers from the war. Unrest stirs among the impoverished people of the village ahead of the first free election in Italy and Padre Pio struggles with a crisis of faith as he battles his own personal demons, as tensions build to an unforgettable climax.
PADRE PIO will be in theaters June 2nd.
